Adapted from the Chinese Fairy tale "Cowherd and Weaving Girl"
I made this book with Janet Hume and Mark Swartz. Mark rewrote a Chinese folktale, I made collage and drawings, and Janet made it into a real live book.
Beijing is my home. I appreciate both the old traditions of my hometown and modern culture of the West. Although art was my true interest and passion, I went with my culture and stayed with the mainstream when I studied English and international Relations in my previous education.
I thus came a long way to Corcoran College of Art & Design in Washington, DC. The study at the Corcoran opened my eyes and helped me grow. I was able to explore various mediums, approaches, and concepts of doing art. I graduated in 2013, and currently work as a graphic designer.
On my spare time, I focus on drawings and painting My work is an externalization of my own experience, vision, dreams, and imagination. I see the process of creating art a personal journey where I continuously invest parts of myself into it.
