ABOUT | ME

My work is an externalization of my own experience, vision, dreams, and imagination. I see the process of creating art a personal journey where I continuously invest parts of myself into it. My work grows out of me spontaneously. Sometimes they are light-hearted, somewhat ridiculous and mysterious, but they are serious and based on reality. My work can generate subtle feelings of strangeness, complication, danger and darkness. It is more often about physical or emotional absence than about what we have and what is there. I like to explore what is not there, which might be a sense of belonging, or a feeling of security, rationality, protection, warmth, or logic. I hope my work can also be a place that allows viewer’s imagination to roam freely, and a point for them to start their own reflections.
